If you're already planning a day at the San Diego County Fair, the Fourth of July is one of the best times to visit. Spend the afternoon enjoying rides, exhibits, concerts, and all your favorite fair food before the evening wraps up with a spectacular fireworks show over the fairgrounds — one of the biggest displays in the entire region. If you'd rather watch from outside, Camino del Mar and the 15th Street beach area offer open-sky views without fair admission.
